The osteopathic diagnostic analysis and treatment take between 45 and 60 minutes. During your first visit, an initial interview will take place in order to incorporate the most important details of your medical history. The duration of the treatment is tailored to each individual and is dependent on the diagnosis and the symptoms. The gap between treatments may therefore vary from one to several weeks.
The costs for osteopathic treatment within the scale of charges and fees for alternative/non-medical practitioners (Gebührenordnung für Heilpraktiker GebüH) are usually covered by private insurance as well as supplementary insurance. In addition, most of the statutory health insurance companies reimburse costs for osteopathic treatments on a pro rata basis. For this purpose, a medical prescription (a recommendation) is required. Please consult your insurance company about your individual case, or check the following link: www.osteokompass.de
Unfortunately osteopathy is not usually covered by the German national insurance system.
> Depending on time and effort the treatment costs are calculated between 60 - 90 Euro
> Osteopathic treatment for children (until the completion of the age of 6):
50 - 75 Euro (depending on the actual time needed)
The fee is based on the scale of charges and fees for alternative/non-medical practitioners (Gebührenordnung für Heilpraktiker GebüH). Due to the varying durations of the treatment we would kindly ask you to pay in cash, you will of course be provided with a receipt/bill.
